Screenings

What are paaristool, paarisdiivan, and staaritool?

A double seat (paaristool) or double sofa (paarisdiivan) is the perfect choice for wolf pairs who want to enjoy a cozy and romantic atmosphere even in the cinema. It creates a homely and intimate mood where every film experience feels complete.

In star seats, every wolf’s mane will shine. These adjustable seats can be set to the perfect position for a comfortable and relaxing viewing experience, and they also come with a movable table. The real star quality comes from the self-service system - you can arrive just in time for your screening, as the smart device between the seats allows you to order your favorite snacks and drinks directly to your seat, delivered by the cinema staff.

What happens if I arrive late to a screening? Why?

Unfortunately, your ticket becomes invalid if you arrive late to a PÖFF screening. Festival staff and volunteers have the right to deny entry to latecomers. If you are still allowed in, please be prepared to take the first available seat, as your original seat may already be occupied.

PÖFF screenings do not include the usual commercials shown in regular cinemas, so the film begins exactly at the time indicated on the ticket. Arriving late disturbs other viewers and can be disrespectful to the filmmakers, who are often present in the audience.

Filmid

How can I vote for my favorite film?

Go to the page of the film on the festival website and click the “Vote & Ask” button. Indicate what emotions the film evoked in you and your vote is cast! By leaving your email address, you’ll also enter a draw to win gifts from PÖFF.

I want to ask the filmmaker a question. How?

Go to the page of the film on the website and click the “Vote & Ask” button. In the pop-up window, you can write your question, which will be forwarded to the filmmaker during the festival.
If the film also has a public Q&A session, your question might be asked there as well. And if you’re brave, you can ask your question directly from the filmmaker during the Q&A.

Why do the lights come on only after the end credits?

Out of respect for the filmmakers, PÖFF screenings end after the credits have finished, and only then are the lights turned on. Many people are involved in bringing a film to life, and for PÖFF, it’s important to honor and celebrate all of them.
