Paula lives in a cinematic reality in which all people are divided into main and secondary characters. In order to be able to lead a life with her own storyline, she attends the school for main characters. But shortly before the final exam, Paula still fails to create emotional music. She sets out, therefore, in search of great emotions, ending up at a place where outtakes eke out a dreary existence on the fringes of society. Here, she encounters more and more inconsistencies surrounding her father's death – and Paula begins to doubt her place in history.
