Hen
Following his cult films “Taxidermia” and “Final Cut”, György Pálfi is back with a tragicomic tale full of heart and feathers.
This outlandish fable is told entirely from a hen's perspective. A hen escapes during transport from a poultry farm and finds temporary refuge in the courtyard of a building that was once a restaurant. But humans begin fighting over the eggs laid by this hen, forcing her to stand up and fight to protect the eggs...
While humorously depicting the hen's journey, the film critically highlights human greed and social inequality. Hungarian director Pálfi György, known for his exceptionally unique films including "Hukkle" (2002) and "Taxidermia" (2006), shot his latest film in Greece with no CGI or AI; instead, eight real hens were employed under the guidance of animal trainers.

György Pálfi (b. 1974, Budapest) started to make his first Super8 experimental films in 1987. The student films that he made while styding film direction at the Academy of Theatre and Film Art in Budapest attracted interest, and he drew international attention with his feature debut, „Hukkle” (2002), which won the European Discovery of the Year Prize and received a FIPRESCI Award Special Mention in Cottbus. Pálfi’s second feature "Taxidermia" screened at Cannes in Un Certain Regard and won the Sundance Institute/NHK Award for Best European Film Project, also have been in competition programme EurAsia at PÖFF 2006. "Pepertuity" is Pálfi's seventh feature film.
