Paul arrives in an unfamiliar town where in his pursuit of happiness he makes one bad decision after another.
13-year-old Paul is forced to move in with his uncle for a few days, after yet another fight with his father. Those few days turn into several weeks.
In the small town, Paul joins a local gang and finds his place in the gang by drinking beer, smoking, and sniffing glue with the others. His seemingly inevitable downfall is thwarted, however, by a strange disabled man.
This moving drama allows us to empathise with complex family relationships, the pains of childhood, and the meaning of unexpected friendship, blending emotional depth with sharp, yet heartfelt humour.
