Slobodan Maksimović is film director and screenwriter born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has directed numerous short, documentary and feature films. "Thank's for Sunderland" is his first feature film, which was awarded with four Vesna's at the 15th Slovenian Film Festival. Among them also Vesna for the best feature. The youth film "Nika" impressed the audience at many international festivals and won the award for the best youth film at the Motovun film festival. The short film "The Invisible Hand of Adam Smith" shot in one frame with a cast from ten different countries of the world was shown at more than fifty international film festivals in the competition program and was awarded 18 times. Mini TV Series "Cases of Inspector Vrenko" is the most watched TV series on Slovenian national TV in this millennium. Maksimović's third feature film "Beanie" is currently impressing the audience on the world's largest film festivals for children and young audience.
