PÖFF Shorts Guest Department Internship

PÖFF Shorts guest team (including several volunteers) has been working together since the days when PÖFF Shorts was still known as Sleepwalkers and Animated Dreams. Our main goal is to provide guests with clear and efficient communication, as well as a warm, welcoming, and homely atmosphere throughout the festival.
The festival period is always fast-paced and somewhat chaotic, which makes it even more important for us to support and look after one another. We focus on finding solutions, sharing laughs, and maintaining a positive team spirit. If there is one team at PÖFF whose motto could be “come to the dark side, we have cookies,” it’s us — we always have cookies.

Intern’s tasks:

• managing PÖFF Shorts Guest Department email communication in collaboration with the Guest Department coordinator and assistant during the more active pre-festival period (October, when accreditations are confirmed)
• sending reminder emails to guests during the festival (e.g. Q&A reminders), in collaboration with the Guest Department assistant
• managing PÖFF Shorts Guest Department spreadsheets according to current tasks
• working at the PÖFF Shorts information desk during the festival (10–18 November 2026)
• supporting networking opportunities for PÖFF Shorts guests during festival events
• assisting the PÖFF Shorts Guest Department with ongoing tasks and inquiries

Expectations for the intern:

• an open and confident communicator
• enthusiastic and proactive
• adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment
• an interest in working with spreadsheets and database systems is considered an advantage
• a good command of English, both written and spoken
