Just Film is the largest youth and children's film festival within the Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), featuring international competition programmes for youth and children's films alongside a diverse selection of special programmes. The Just Film team offers a friendly and supportive environment where interns are given real responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the organisation of an international film festival. As part of our team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, work alongside industry professionals, and get an inside look at what it takes to bring a major film festival to life.
Just Film Videographer Internship
Intern’s tasks:
film the festival's daily events, including screenings, opening and closing ceremonies, special events, workshops, and networking sessions
capture the atmosphere and emotions of the festival, including audiences, volunteers, guests, and the overall festival experience
create short-form video content for Just Film's social media channels (Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook)
film interviews with filmmakers, guests, volunteers, and festival audiences
capture red carpet events and the arrival of special guests
collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to produce timely video content throughout the festival
edit short-form videos for rapid publication during the festival
contribute to the production of the festival aftermovie by filming and collecting relevant footage
prepare, maintain, and transport filming equipment
participate in production meetings and help plan video shoots according to the festival schedule
organise and archive filmed material according to the agreed file structure
support other festival team members with audiovisual tasks when needed
Intern’s profile:
an interest in videography and visual storytelling
good time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced festival environment
independence, initiative, and strong teamwork skills
basic knowledge of camera operation and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro)
willingness to work evenings and weekends during the festival
