Law Firm TEGOS is a long-standing partner of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), handling the festival’s legal matters and providing legal advice to filmmakers. In 2026, TEGOS will present the PÖFF Script Pool award.
How has the partnership with PÖFF influenced your team and staff motivation?
The partnership with PÖFF has brought fresh energy and a sense of unity to our team. Contributing together to a cultural event that appeals to an international audience has provided a refreshing contrast to everyday work. It has given staff the opportunity to experience something that goes beyond the usual framework of legal services. PÖFF has created an opportunity for staff to spend time together after work and enjoy excellent, high-quality films as part of the festival.
What values connect your company with PÖFF?
Our core values – open and direct communication, a focus on results, and empowering people and ideas – resonate with PÖFF’s mission. The festival brings together different cultures and perspectives, promoting diversity and creativity. Similarly, in our work we value an international outlook and an understanding of different perspectives. Just as PÖFF creates a platform for new ideas and inspires development, we too help our clients boldly explore new opportunities and take their ideas to the next level.
What added value has the partnership with PÖFF brought to your brand?
The partnership with PÖFF has helped cement TEGOS’s image as a company that values culture, quality, and international cooperation. Our brand has gained visibility amongst new target groups – ranging from culture enthusiasts to international partners. This has given us a distinctive position in the legal services sector and strengthened our reputation for reliability.
Do you have any special memories or emotional experiences connected with PÖFF, either personally or as a company?
One client event we organised as part of PÖFF immediately springs to mind. Together with our guests, we watched the Finnish film 100 Liters of Gold, which turned out to be a truly unique and surprisingly refreshing experience. The film itself was so distinctive in its choice of subject matter and style of presentation that a lively discussion arose after the screening – everyone had their own perspective to share. This gave the whole evening a special energy and set it apart from a typical client event. It is precisely these moments, where art and people come together and a meaningful conversation develops, that make the PÖFF experience so memorable for us.
In your view, what role could cultural partnerships play in future business, and why is this important to you?
We believe that cultural partnerships will become increasingly important in the future, as they help companies create long-term value both for their staff and for society at large. Supporting culture demonstrates that a company is values-driven – this strengthens the brand, increases staff engagement, and helps reach new audiences. For us, it is an opportunity to contribute to an environment that fosters creativity and social openness, from which everyone benefits.
