Tegos

The law firm TEGOS is a long-standing partner of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), ensuring the accuracy of the festival’s legal matters and providing legal advice to filmmakers.
In 2025, TEGOS will present two awards – supporting both the PÖFF Script Pool programme and the recognition of the Best Film in the First Feature Competition. For the latter, a €5000 TEGOS Award has been established, to be shared between the director and producer in recognition of their outstanding creative and production contribution.

How has collaboration with PÖFF affected your team and employee motivation?

Collaboration with PÖFF has brought new energy and a sense of unity to our team. Collective contribution to a cultural event that addresses an international audience has provided a spiritual change beside everyday work. This has given employees the opportunity to experience something that goes beyond the framework of usual legal services.
PÖFF has created an opportunity for staff to spend time together after work and enjoy good and high quality films within the framework of the festival.

What values bind your company with PÖFF?

Our core values - open and direct communication, focus on results and empowerment of people and ideas - resonate well with PÖFF's mission. The festival brings together different cultures and perspectives, promoting diversity and creativity. Similarly, we value international reach and understanding of different perspectives in our work. Just as PÖFF creates a platform for new ideas and inspires development, we also help our clients to bravely discover new opportunities and take their ideas to the next level.

What kind of added value has the PÖFF partnership provided to your brand?

The partnership with PÖFF has helped to set the image of TEGOS as a company that values culture, quality and international cooperation. Our brand has gained visibility among new target groups - from culture-oriented to international partners. This has given us a distinctive position in the field of legal services and strengthened our reputation for reliability.

Do you personally or as a company have any special memories or emotional experiences related to PÖFF?

What immediately comes to mind is last year's client event that we organised in the framework of PÖFF. Together with the guests, we watched the Finnish film “100 Litres of Gold”, which turned out to be a truly unique and surprisingly refreshing experience. The film itself was so unique in its choice of subject matter and presentation style that a lively discussion ensued after the screening - everyone had their own perspective to share. It gave the whole evening a special energy and contrasted it from the usual customer events. It is precisely moments like these, where art and people meet and a rich conversation emerge, that make the PÖFF experience so memorable for us.

In your opinion, what role cultural partnerships could play in the future of entrepreneurship and why is it important to you?

We believe that cultural partnerships will become increasingly important in the future, since they help companies create long-term value for both their employees and society at large. The sponsorship of culture shows that the company operates on value-based principles - it strengthens the brand, increases employee engagement, and helps to build connections with new target groups. For us, this is an opportunity to contribute to the environment that fosters creativity and social openness, from which everyone can benefit.
