MyFitness has been walking alongside the Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) for a long time, offering our team members opportunities to train and maintain their creative energy. We spoke to Marika Mäsak, Marketing Manager at MyFitness, about how this partnership has evolved over time.
You could say that MyFitness is quite similar to PÖFF in many ways. Both endeavours are driven by commitment and team spirit, which help to achieve their goals. Other common factors include a passion for their respective fields, a desire to always offer the best to their members and visitors, the element of positive surprise, and being a visionary and a trailblazer.
Mäsak recalls how, during the autumn months, countless creative ideas emerge during collaboration meetings, which they always try to implement as much as possible. Despite the fast-paced work environment, these meetings with the core PÖFF team have been very supportive and positive. She hopes that this fruitful collaboration will continue for many more years! And we feel the same!
PÖFF has opened the door for the MyFitness team to an incredibly exciting world of film, and every autumn, it has helped MyFitness members experience the thrilling programme and various screenings. Personally, she hopes to get to the cinema more often this year! “Actually, it would be really exciting to experience the process of putting the programme together, selecting the films,” says Mäsak. She’d love to be “a fly on the wall” and observe how the most intense weeks of the festival look from the inside out.
But if a film were to be made about MyFitness itself, it would be a fast-paced adventure film, with an exciting storyline that always manages to pleasantly surprise its audience!
Why does MyFitness support the cultural sector today?
“At MyFitness, we have always felt that sport is a very important part of culture, and that’s why we’ve decided to support Estonian culture, including the film sector, as much as we can,” says Mäsak.
