Marlis Soomets, Marketing and Communications Manager at Lux Express, recalls that one of the most memorable PÖFF experiences was the documentary The Referees, which focused on the work and challenges faced by top-level football referees. “What made this viewing experience particularly memorable was the chance to speak with one of the film’s main characters, the world-renowned English football referee Howard Webb, after the screening. That discussion gave the film a much deeper meaning and allowed viewers to understand the hidden aspects of a football referee's work, which are usually not seen during the big game,” Soomets shared.
We also asked what kind of film could be made about Lux Express itself. “It would undoubtedly be an adventure film, with the main characters being the passengers,” said Soomets. It would be a story about how every journey can be a small or big adventure, revealing an explorer within each of us who wishes to visit exciting new places. Naturally, Lux Express’s excellent team would play a supporting role, ensuring that every trip is special!
