Good news keeps coming — the latest is that Tiina Lokk has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Estonian Cultural Endowment.
“For putting Estonia on the world map of film festivals,” explained the Audiovisual Arts Committee, which presented Lokk with the lifetime achievement award in the field of film.
“This is the most important of all my awards, because it is given by my colleagues — filmmakers themselves,” said the founder and director of the Black Nights Film Festival, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, in her acceptance speech.
The laureates were announced by the Cultural Endowment tonight at the Ukuaru Music Hall in Rakvere.
