Twice honoured as Best Actress by the Spanish Film Academy and once by the Mexican Film Academy, Maribel Verdú has appeared in more than a hundred films and TV series. Among her most celebrated works are Snow White, Y Tu Mamá También, and Belle Époque, and she has also starred in Hollywood blockbusters such as The Flash.

At the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Verdú will present her latest film, the newly released horror drama Under Your Feet, in which she plays a mother who moves into a luxurious apartment with her two young teenagers—only to discover eerie cries echoing from within the living-room wall.

Maribel Verdú will speak about her latest role and her career at an open press conference on Saturday, 15 November at 13:00 in the Sirius Conference Hall, Nordic Hotel Forum.
She will be interviewed by PÖFF programmer Javier García Puerto, together with the film’s director Cristian Bernardi.

Admission is FREE with a ticket, available here.

Under Your Feet is part of the festival’s Midnight Shivers special programme and will premiere on 15 November at 19:30 at Apollo Kino Plaza. The screening will be preceded by a Black Carpet ceremony, attended by the actress.

In addition to Maribel Verdú, the coming days will bring several other major guests to PÖFF, including Maria Draguse (The White Ribbon), Trine Dyrholm (multiple European Film Award nominee), Dar Salim (The Covenant by Guy Ritchie), and Petter Næss, the Norwegian director of the Oscar-nominated Elling.
