We take great care of our visitors and want the festival experience to be as pleasant, comfortable and safe as possible for everyone. PÖFF lasts two and a half weeks, and in order for us all to reach a successful conclusion, we have compiled the following guidelines and rules.
Upon arrival at the cinema, the visitor must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or recovery. Young people aged 12-17 must provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative result to a PCR or antigen-RT test performed by a healthcare provider. People for whom vaccination is contraindicated for any reason are asked to provide a medical certificate and take a test, either at a nearby pharmacy or by ordering a Certific test from our partner at home. We would also like to draw the attention of those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or those who have had it, that if you have corona symptoms, please order a test at home to keep yourself and others safe.
Use the Certific app!
In order to make the cinema visit as safe as possible, Estonian medical technology company Certific offers corona virus testing via the Certific app for a discounted price of 9 euros when using the code PÖFF2021. You can do this in advance at home and avoid any bad surprises when you arrive at the cinema. You can buy the test on the Certific website and it will be delivered to your selected Itella parcel machine the next working day. The Certific application instructs you to perform the test correctly and the result will be received on your phone with a QR code. The test result is valid for 48 hours.
- We strongly recommend that you buy tickets on the PÖFF or Piletilevi website. Buying a ticket from home is easy, convenient and safe.
- All festival information can be found on the PÖFF website. If you get into trouble, write to kassa@poff.ee. We will be happy to help you.
- PÖFF information points are at your disposal during the festival. It is in the interests of all of us that there are no queues at the box office. We follow the 2 + 2 rule.
- Masks must be worn at the festival events and areas for visitors from the age of 12. Please wear your mask in all cinema screenings. If you do not have a mask, you can get one for free when entering our festival area.
- If you buy a ticket at the PÖFF box office, be prepared for the ticket to be personalized. To do this, you will be asked for your information. You are not allowed to change your seats in the hall.
- A person who is ill, who has been in contact with a COVID-19 positive person or who has a restriction on freedom of movement during the last 14 days is not allowed to come to the session.
- Festival cinemas have disinfectants that we ask everyone to use.
- During the breaks between sessions, we clean and disinfect all cinemas (every 2-4 hours).
- Before and after screenings, the presenter / volunteer will draw the audience's attention to the measures to prevent the coronavirus, which are: wearing a mask, disinfecting your hands, following the 2 + 2 rule, etc. All our foreign guests who come to meet the audience wear a mask or our partner Respiray’s portable air purifier. The same applies to all festival team members who come into direct contact with cinema visitors or foreign guests.
- After the session, guests are asked to leave the hall in rows, if possible, so that there is no gathering at the doors.
What happens to your ticket if a screening or festival should be canceled due to the COVID-19 virus?
- We hope you will agree to exchange the missed screening ticket for the next screening of the same movie. If the desired movie is no longer showing in our cinemas, we offer the opportunity to exchange the ticket for another movie ticket.
- Those who wish can also donate the money paid for the missed session ticket to support PÖFF. Ticket revenue is one of our most important sources of income - especially now that COVID-19 has made life very difficult for the film industry and cultural event organizers. In case of donation, please inform the festival at info@poff.ee.
- If none of these solutions work for you, we will buy back your ticket.
- If you have contracted corona virus or any other disease, the festival visitor will not buy back the ticket. We hope you can make some friends happy with your ticket instead.
Together, we will do our best to make the 25th PÖFF an as fun and safe experience as it has been in previous years!
The web-PÖFF takes place after the festival and its program only partially overlaps with what is shown in cinemas. Fresh information will be released during the second half of the festival.
