
94,789 visits, 2,000 guests from 84 countries, and 10,300 mentions in media outlets across 97 countries.
These are the figures that characterize this year’s PÖFF – all of them marking new festival records.
Compared to last year, the number of visits increased by nearly 1,800, the number of guests by 300, and media mentions by 4,000. Never before have so many countries attended PÖFF or written about it.
According to the international media monitoring company Meltwater, the potential reach of articles about PÖFF published so far in print and online media as well as on social media has reached 43 billion contacts.
The number of countries from which tickets were purchased this year is also record-breaking – 52 in total – including such far-flung places as New Zealand, the Philippines, and Ecuador.
A total of 249 feature-length films and 275 short films from 79 countries were screened, with 894 screenings altogether.
The festival accredited 146 journalists from 30 countries and was supported by 417 volunteers and 103 interns.
This year’s festival took place from November 7–23 and was presented by Elisa and Nordic Hotel Forum.
The main partners were Cramo, Solaris, Alexela, Veho, and Rotermann, with additional partners including EuroPark, Lux Express, Hansabuss, Piletilevi PLG, Tegos, Tallink Hotels, MyFitness, Kingivabrik, Turespaña, Admirals, BLRT Grupp, National Geographic, and Balmerk.
