For the sixth time, PÖFF and Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event will present a curated selection of five standout film projects at the prestigious Goes to Cannes showcase. The programme will take place at the Marché du Film, the industry platform of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, on May 15.

Each year, the Marché du Film invites leading festivals and markets to showcase carefully selected projects, offering a glimpse into some of the most exciting upcoming films worldwide. This year’s PÖFF lineup brings together projects in various stages of post-production, distinguished by their diversity, bold cinematic language, and rich cultural perspectives.

Over the years, PÖFF Goes to Cannes has served as a launchpad for emerging voices in global cinema. As Project Manager Triin Tramberg notes: “This year’s selection showcases two remarkable highlights from Estonia. Eeva Mägi returns to Cannes with Mo Hunt, following her earlier participation with Mo Papa and Mo Amor, continuing the ‘Mo’ movement—an exciting new wave in Estonian cinema that challenges conventions. At Your Service marks the second feature by German Golub, whose student film My Dear Corpses won First Prize at the Student Academy Awards in 2020.”

“We also continue highlighting the fresh new voices - the lineup also features compelling debut works from across Europe, including Dead Dad Girl, a dark comedy by Stephen Korytko, and Lost Son, the first feature by Edson da Conceição. Representing the festival’s 2026 Spotlight on the Basque Country, The Daughters by Daniel Romero Bueno adds further depth to this year’s selection,” Tramberg adds.

The projects will be presented onsite on Friday, May 15, from 16:15 to 18:05 at Palais K to an international audience of industry professionals. All selected projects are currently seeking sales agents and aiming for their festival premieres.
