We will present 5 film projects at Goes to Cannes showcase. The programme will take place at Marché du Film, the industry section of the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
Goes to Cannes enables film festivals or markets around the world to showcase a curated selection of original works-in-progress by most promising talents. The curator of the project, Triin Tramberg commented: "Goes to Cannes is a great opportunity to present projects in post-production at one of the largest film markets in the world. We always give priority to the filmmakers who have previously presented their projects at our festival's industry strand, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic event, for example at Co-Production Market, Script Pool or European Genre Forum."
She joyfully added: "This year we are truly happy, because two projects that were presented in development a few years ago, have finally been filmed. Notably, three directors whose previous films premiered at PÖFF, will present their new projects. Most interesting for the local Estonian audiences is definitely Eeva Mägi's new film project Mo Papa."
At PÖFF 2023, Mägi's Mo Mamma won Jury Special Prize in the First Feature Competition; Romas Zabarauskas' The Writer world-premiered at Baltic Film Competition, and Nicolás Postiglione's Immersion had international premiere at First Feature Competition in 2021.
The projects will be presented onsite on Saturday May 18 at Palais K, Cannes from 14:00 to 15:50 for the industry professionals around the world. All projects are without a sales agent and are looking for a festival premiere.
