Filmmakers willing to present their projects are encouraged to submit their entries by March 4th, 2024. Join us at the heart of the global film industry!
For the 4th time, Black Nights Film Festival partners with the renowned Marché du Film event "Goes to Cannes" to showcase international film projects in development.
Date and time of the event:
Market screening – slot of 110’– Palais K (147 seats) on Saturday, 18 May 2024 from 2 pm to 3.50 pm and the Online Market screening 24h later
We are looking for:
- Full-length fiction film in post-production with potential for the international market, looking for a sales agent that have not been presented in any previous works in progress pitchings yet;
- Projects from all around the world, with no genre restrictions
- Only scenes from the film with English subtitles (1-3 scenes, up to 10-15 minutes altogether) can be presented at the Black Nights Goes To Cannes session. We do not accept teasers, trailers or promo reels.
- Priority will be given to projects that have been presented in previous Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event Co-Production market, Script Pool and European Genre Forum sessions.
Submission materials
- Credits and country/countries of production (Original title/English title, language, running time)
- Genre
- Estimated delivery date of the film
- Up to 20 minutes of the film for the evaluation. Please keep in mind that if the project is selected, we can present 10-15 minutes clip
- Synopsis (300 characters max, spaces included)
- Short biography/filmography of the director (max 400 characters with spaces)
- Filmography of the producer and production company profile (400 characters with spaces)
- Links to the social networks (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook...) of the director(s)
- Links to the social networks (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook...) of the producer(s) / Production company(s)
- Contact (Name, first name & email address)
- 2 photos or stills from the film (resolution 300 dpi, landscape format) for the flyer
- Director and producer photos
Send your submissions via e-mail to triin.tramberg@poff.ee with the subject line PROJECT NAME_Black Nights Goes to Cannes 2024. Please include all the project information in one pdf and submit all photos via dropbox/google drive by March 4th, 2024.
Black Nights Film Festival will provide one market badge per project. Project representatives must cover their flight and accommodation costs.

Despite our flexibility, the sooner we have the info the better!
Additinonally, it is recommended to send 10 second film clip for the promotion reel edited by us.
