Will You Care If I Die?
A youth worker gives everything to save a young basketball talent from the slums of Malmö.
Elijah, a 14-year-old growing up in the slums of Malmö, is a talented basketball player who is drawn away from the sport by a violent environment and the lack of parental guidance. One day, youth worker Nic, who is losing motivation and faith in his work, sees Elijah play. Like Elijah, Nic was once a promising basketball player whose career was derailed by his own bad decisions. Nic decides to take Elijah under his wing and dedicate himself to helping the young man through the ups and downs. Based on a true story, this film is an inspiring tale of friendship and the power of someone’s belief in you.

Biography
Rojda Sekersöz (1989) is a Swedish director who trained at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she was the youngest student ever accepted. She has a background in acting and oral poetry, and is particularly interested in stories concerning social issues. She made her feature film debut with “Beyond Dreams” (2017), which was well received and drew attention for its rich female characters.
