When Niki finds out that her father is in town after being releasedfrom prison, she disobeys her grandmother’s fierce objections andmeets him in secret. Faced with his 12-year-old daughter, Tibor isforced to confront his role as a father and finally take responsibility.After 7 years without contact, the father and daughter get to know eachother, whilst realising their strong connection and how powerfulforgiveness can be.

Born in 1990, Hungarian director Hajni Kis first studied philosophy before moving on to film. She got accepted to the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest in 2013, where she currently studies film directing.In her first year, she made two short documentaries ('Beauties', '2nd Floor'). Her 2nd year project was the short fiction 'Beautiful Figure', which was nominated for Student Academy Awards in 2016.She recently finished her BA graduation movie 'Last Call", "Wild Roots" is her first feature film.
