Under Your Feet
Are neighbours keeping you up? A fresh Spanish horror film akin to “Rosemary’s Baby”.
Priscila (Maribel Verdú) moves with her two children into a very Prestigious building that has a very peculiar admission method but at a very affordable rental fee. Once approved and settled, three elderly neighbours from the lower floor will turn their lives upside down.
“Under Your Feet” is a genre-defying, mystical thriller with an unexpected twist, inspired by both “Rosemary’s Baby” and the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. Starring Maribel Verdú (“Pan’s Labyrinth”, “Blancanieves”), the film will premiere at PÖFF. Verdú has twice been selected as the best Spanish actress, and her career took off with Alfonso Cuarón’s film “Y tu mamá también”.
The film was co-produced by Carlos Juárez, who ensured the horror film “Platform” (2019) received global distribution on Netflix. Juárez was also one of the producers behind “Upon Entry”, directed by Alejandro Rojas and Juan Sebastián Vasquez, which premiered in the 2022 PÖFF First Feature Competition.

Cristian Bernard (1968) co-directed the feature-length film “76 89 03” (1999) with Flavio Nardini. With Diego Capusotto and Roberto Carnaghi, he made the 2008 film “Regresados” before embarking on the TV mini series “Germán, últimas viñetas” (2013). “Under Your Feet” is his fifth full-length feature film.
