Joost van den Bosch (1980) is a director who, together with director Erik Verkerk, founded the Rotterdam-based Ka-Ching Cartoons in 2007. The two men met while studying animation at the Willem de Kooning Academy, where they graduated cum laude. Their award-winning films, including “George & Paul” (2017) and “Inkt” (2021), have been screened at major festivals such as Annecy and Toronto. After a stint at Ireland's Cartoon Saloon, they created notable series for the Dutch theme park Efteling. They also directed their first animated TV film “de Tand des Tijds” and the feature film “Urbanus de Vuilnisheld”. They are currently working on the second Tummy Tom film, “A New Friend for Tummy Tom”.
