Meera, lonely and vulnerable, finds Bharat’s innocence a welcome change in a sea of ogling Indian men. When she introduces him to jazz and teaches him how to dance with a woman, he glimpses a world of possibilities he is eager to experience. But when he stumbles upon a dark secret from Meera’s past, Bharat is forced to choose: Is she a woman of bad character like everyone says, or is she the smart, sensitive person he knows? It’s only a matter of time before the grownups in the building find out, and what Bharat does next will determine the kind of man he will grow up to be.

Sushrut Jain is a filmmaker driven by the desire to capture the beauty of the lives of everyday people in India. Born and raised in Mumbai, Sushrut came to the United States to pursue graduate work in Economics at Stanford University. But a passion for storytelling eventually led him to enroll in the graduate film program at USC. In 2013, Sushrut completed BEYOND ALL BOUNDARIES , a feature-length documentary that tells the extraordinary stories of three Indians – a penniless superfan, a girl cricketer trying out for the Mumbai city team, and a 12-year old cricket prodigy – for each of whom the sport of cricket is a way out of a difficult life. The film, co-produced and narrated by Kunal Nayyar of THE BIG BANG THEORY, won several awards at film festivals in the US and is available on Netflix worldwide. Sushrut's debut short film ANDHERI (2009) – a realist drama set on the streets of Mumbai – was an official selection at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Festival in France, and went on to play at over 40 film festivals worldwide, winning several awards.
