The Seekers: Thrill Night
For many years, Halloween was a special time for siblings Asger (12) and Petra (10) and their neighbor/best friend Ester (12). This year it’s different. Asger and Petra’s father recently passed away, and this was their special tradition. Asger wants to stay home, Ester wants to go to a party, and Petra wants to continue the tradition of trick-o-treating. Unable to let Petra go by herself, the parents force them to celebrate together. But, in a split second, Petra disappears without a trace. Meanwhile, burglars are roaming the town stalking for the next home to burglarize. They encounter Petra and the game of cat & mouse begins. They end up at an abandoned house where Petra must find a way to out-smart the burglars. At the same time, Asger and Ester must overcome all obstacles on Halloween night to find Petra and return home safely.
Philip is a Danish-Canadian feature film director with more than 15 years of experience.The director of all four seasons of the TV-Pris-awarded children’s series ‘Sprinter Galore’ as well as all three seasons of the children’s series ‘Heino Fixes Everything’. In addition,he’s directed a number of TV-commercials, music videos, as well as internationally awarded short films. Nominated for ‘In Hollywood Magazine’s Award of Excellence’, and selected for ‘Cannes Court Metrage’ twice. Philip has directed the children’s series ‘Sprinter Galore’ about the alien Sprinter who crashes his spaceship near the home of Magnus, an adopted boy who’s crazy about sci-fi. Together they teach each other about life on Earth. One of the most popular children’s series in Denmark with over 53% viewership. Succeded by two seasons about the unlucky handyman, Heino, along with a season of Heino Into the Wilderness about four children’s journey into the Danish country side. Philip’s directed a number of internationally awared short films: the sci-fi action movie Eastern Army (2010), the Copenhagen drama ‘Små Mænd’ (2011), Gyseren ‘Emma’ (2012),and the lyrical drama ‘The Waitress’ (2014).
