The Glassworker
Pakistan's first hand-drawn animated feature film about love during wartime.
The film recounts the life of a young apprentice glassblower and his relationships over the years as his homeland experiences war and strife. Set in a town divided by duty and class, the story follows Vincent, the son of a glassmaker, and Alliz, the colonel's daughter and a violinist, as they fall in love. However, as their bond grows, rising tensions between their families threaten to tear them apart. Told through stunning hand-drawn animation, The Glassworker is a poetic tale of first love, family and the price of staying true to your art.
