The Flying Classroom
Martina wins a scholarship to attend a prestigious boarding school in the Alps. Upon arrival, she instantly becomes embroiled in the bitter feud between the boarders and the “day pupils”. Martina finds herself torn between academic aspirations, family responsibilities, and loyalty to newfound friends.

Carolina Hellsgård was born in Stockholm and studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and the California Institute of Arts in Los Angeles. She is a writer-director. Her debut film "Wanja" premiered at the 2015 Berlinale and was nominated for Best First Feature. The film screened at numerous international film festivals.
The feminist zombie film "Endzeit - Ever After" is her second feature film direction and premiered at Toronto Film Festival in the Discovery section in 2018.
In 2019, Hellsgård shot her third feature film "Sunburned", a drama about a girl who wants to help a Senegalese beach vendor while on vacation in Spain.
Hellsgård taught as a Dorothea Erxleben Fellow at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts and was a fellow at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles.
