The Book of Solutions
Marc is a sensitive filmmaker. When the money men yell “Your movie is ugly and grey, we have to recover our investment,” he snaps his fingers, and the plan is underway: they take control, remove the unedited files from his producer’s offices, rush into their vans, and drive straight to his aunt Denise, who’s ready to foster his crew in her house. There he finds any excuse to escape the editing room: apparently, life always gets in the way.
We welcome Michel Gondry who exposes the inner demons of a filmmaker facing unfinished editing. Through his alter ego, he reveals an enlightening statement about creativity and inspiration.
Deeply inventive, sometimes utterly funny, sometimes disturbing, “The Book of Solutions” is an ode to bright ideas and distraction, and the artist’s soul.
