Add a pinch of irony, a dash of culinary fun and you have a delightful Lithuanian fine dining romcom.

This lively culinary comedy mixes cheesy TV drama, witty satire, friendship melodrama and lively folk songs.

Disheartened single mother Ona and her optimistic, eccentric friend Saulė run a canteen called Tasty, where they serve simple dishes at affordable prices. Known for their inventive twists on traditional recipes, they use unconventional ingredients to breathe new life into old favourites.

When they take part in the cooking competition show 'Let's Cook Lithuanian', they find themselves up against the country's top chefs. The competition, which features everything from herring aperitifs to the legendary cepelinai dish, promises the chance to take their humble business to the next level.

Unbeknownst to them, the producers have chosen their team, 'La Gardutė', to manipulate viewers into feeling emotional. Beloved celebrity chef Madame Bruknė tests their culinary skills, attitudes and friendship, while foreign judge Emmanuel complicates matters by capturing Ona's heart.
