Having participated in competition surfing worldwide, 14-year-old Scottish, under-18 champion, Ben Larg, is prepared to put his life on the line to ride one of the biggest and most dangerous cold water waves in the world at Mullaghmore, Ireland. If he gets it right, he joins an elite group. If he gets it wrong, the consequences are terrifying. Danger, opportunity, and dilemma collide, propelling Ben and his family towards an unknown destiny.

Martyn Robertson õppis Šotimaa kuninglikus konservatooriumis. Ta on produtseerinud ja lavastanud mitmeid lühifilme, mis on linastunud BFI, LFF, Berlinale, Underwire ja Edinburghi filmifestivalidel. Tema ilma eelarveta dokumentaalfilm "Marty Goes to Hollywood" võitis Uue Talendi BAFTA (Best Factual) ja müüdi USA-s Amazon Prime'ile. "Ride the Wave" on Martyni lavastajadebüüt rahastatava täispika dokumentaalfilmina. Martyn võitis sellega 2018. aastal EIFFil (Edinburghi rahvusvaheline filmifestival) Works in Progress auhinna ja praegu arendab koos Sky Documentaries-ga oma järgmist filmi "Wild Rider".
