Daphne is a teenage judo athlete from a remote Greek island who is ready to spread her wings and follow Sensei Yuri to the big city, and ultimately to the next Olympic Games. Yuri has been absent from the world of judo for the last few years for unknown reasons, and he is looking for a fresh start. Meanwhile, Daphne is transitioning from the carefree world of adolescence into adulthood.

Giorgos Georgopoulos (1975) studied directing at Likourgos Stavrakos’ School of Cinematography and Television, in Athens. Later, he studied Sociology in Rome at Università Roma I: La Sapienza. Finally, he studied European Culture at the Hellenic Open University. Early in his life, being greatly influenced by his father (a director of photography of numerous classic Greek films), he settled on his involvement into the film industry. He started his career as a film editor and soon thereafter as a director and producer, mainly of TV commercials, documentary films and educational TV series for National Television. In 1999, he returned to Greece and undertook Multivision, a production company based in his native city of Athens, producing films, documentaries, commercials and music videos.
