New Money
Suspicious deals and Bitcoin set off a costly start-up built on love, lust, and greed, with no tax-free perks in sight.
Who hasn’t fantasised about striking it rich overnight and owning a lavish villa?
In a bid to inspire young minds about financial literacy, humble teacher Liisa and modest IT wizard Taavi agree to a tabloid interview. Their openness triggers a barrage of anonymous insults, unwanted offers, and indecent proposals. Confused and overwhelmed, Taavi soon regrets the morning he suddenly became a millionaire with 50 million euros in Bitcoin.
Taavi’s rapid fortune attracts the dangerous attention of Alina, a skilled con artist. Usually, she scams vulnerable seniors alongside the miserly Einar, who promises payback by targeting bigger fish. Determined Alina sets her sights on seducing Taavi and aiding Einar in emptying his accounts. She manipulates the new millionaire couple to buy time for stealing the PIN codes.
