Inner beauty trumps outer beauty!
Twelve-year-old Ben has just hit puberty and suddenly his weight is a problem – for him and for everyone else. The other kids bully him, his divorced parents don’t know what to do… Even the school nurse is worried about him. So, despite his love of food and his emerging talent as a chef, Ben decides to take drastic action. He starts to diet. Maybe that can turn things round. And even win the heart of Klara, the girl of his dreams… Eventually, Ben will learn that what truly matters isn’t how you look – it’s how you feel.

Kristina Dufková (1978) is a student of Břetislav Pojar from FAMU (the Prague Film Academy). Her short films “From the Life of Mothers” and “A Tear Is Needed” have won numerous awards at film festivals. In 2011, she directed the short story “How the Giants Faded in Šumava” for the feature film “Filmfárum 3”. In 2016, her evening children’s programme “Povídaní o mamince a tatínkovi” (“Story about Mom and Dad”) was broadcast on Czech television.
