Jim Button and the Wild 13
Dark clouds are gathering over the tranquil island of Morrowland, the home of twelve-year old Jim and his best friend, the engine driver Luke: the notorious pirate gang “The Wild 13” has learned that the dragon Mrs Grindtooth has been conquered by Jim and Luke and now swears revenge!
To protect Morrowland from another threat, the two of them set off with their steam engines Emma and Molly on a dangerous journey where Jim's most fervent wish might also come true: he wants at last to find out the truth about his mysterious origins.
Film will be live dubbed into Estonian
Dennis Gansel was born in Hanover in 1973. As a schoolboy he made his own short films. From 1994 to 2000 he studied directing at the Munich University for Television and Film. During his studies he also got to know his future producer Christian Becker, with whom he worked on “Die Welle” and the “Jim Knopf” films, among others. After several German films, he made his Hollywood debut in 2015 with “Mechanic Resurection”. With the Jim Knopf film adaptations, he fulfilled a long cherished childhood dream. Dennis Gansel lives with his family in Hamburg and Berlin.
