A great father-daughter duo in one of the most celebrated films of this year’s Just programme.

It’s summertime, and 11-year-old Iris spends her days with her older best friend, Danae. One day, she hears that her grandfather has passed and her father, Aris, is back in town for the funeral. Iris decides to find her father she has never known. That is easier said than done, as her avoidant, petty-criminal father has no interest in her. Yet, her wish to get to know him prevails, and by getting involved in his various schemes, the two find a common ground that makes them closer. Despite warnings from her mother and older brother to stay away, Iris spends more and more time with Aris. But when her father’s dark past and lifestyle get them into serious trouble, questions arise over whether he can finally take responsibility for his daughter.

Suitable for ages 10 and above.
