Follies
A beginner’s journey through the twists and turns of discovering polyamory.
Two lovers, parents of two children, decide to open up their relationship after 16 years together. We follow their process over a period of several months, witnessing the weakening of their union and their attempts to preserve what they have built together. Their story is told through their many experiments. In six chapters, they explore different types of relationships and witness the repercussions these have on their love.
“Follies” is a naive, clumsy, but devilishly endearing reflection on the modern couple. “Follies” had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival.
