Smart, angry, self-reliant Dida (15) will stop at nothing to achieve a single tangible goal – to buy a plane ticket so she can join her estranged mother in the United States. A special offer on a ticket to New York is to expire in a few hours. Dida steals, punches and bullies for cash. As the pressure builds up, she loses her temper and is suspended from school. Alone and cornered, Dida snaps, and there is no way back.

Yana Titova (1983) is a Berlinale Talents alumnae who graduated from the Bulgarian National Film and Theatre Academy with a BA in acting. Her career rapidly took off as she established herself as an award-winning talent. However, the moment she found herself on the other side of the camera, her path shifted towards filmmaking and she went on to earn her master’s in directing. Yana’s acclaimed directorial debut, "A Dose of Happiness" (2019) topped the national box office and premiered worldwide on HBO.
