Dancing Queen in Hollywood

Mina and Markus didn’t win the Mjøsa Challenge dance competition, but they received an amazing consolation prize instead. They are going to Los Angeles to dance in a music video with a world-famous artist. However, what starts as a dream trip quickly becomes challenging for Mina when she struggles to meet the expectations of the choreographer, Mona Berntsen. The trip takes a positive turn when she is unexpectedly invited to an audition by an agent. She thinks it’s a dance audition, but it turns out to be for a film role! With the help of their hostess, who has been to thousands of auditions, Mina tries something she has never done before. Meanwhile, Mina’s parents are experiencing a relationship crisis. What should Mina do when she discovers that her father has been unfaithful?

Aurora Gossé (1987) studied directing at the Norwegian Film School. Her graduation film "Vi som ser i mørket" won the Norwegian Film Critics’ Award at the Short Film Festival in Grimstad and was nominated for the Student Academy Awards. Her music video for the song “Echo” won This Years’ Talent at the 2016 VidAwards and an Honourable Mention at the Short Film Festival in Grimstad. The video was also shortlisted for the Nordic Music Video Awards. Alongside her work for the cinema, she also directs for television.
