“Crows”, a seemingly ordinary narrative with a surreal and anarchic feeling, reflects the forgotten people of today’s world. Djuka, a broke ageing boxer, travels through the gloomy countryside and engages in dubious transactions. He has to support his mother, who lives in her own world and understands nothing. Djuka meets other misfits like himself – a trio of unemployed ballerinas, with whom he cheats, steals, and even kills for money. Although with little qualms as everything will be forgotten soon. The boxer wants to finally leave the gang, but will he succeed?

Gordan Mihić was a Serbian playwright and screenwriter who wrote his best works about the so-called little people. Together with Ljubiša Kozomara, they have among other things written the script for the film “When I Am Dead and Gone” (1967), also screened at PÖFF.
