The film’s fantastic ensemble cast perfectly captures the spirit of an Irish small town where the dark shadows of the past still loom large. The story centres on 17-year-old Christy, who is about to reach adulthood and must therefore leave the orphanage that has been his home for half his life. With nowhere else to go, Christy returns to his childhood home, where his estranged older brother Shane now lives with his family. After years apart, tension quickly rises between the brothers when Christy starts treading the same dangerous paths as their parents, while Shane tries to keep his younger brother away from a tragic future. But when pain and anger run deep within a family, how can they move on?
