Mohammad Hamzei (1979) is an Iranian director and actor. He has a bachelor's degree in cinema. He started his professional career in the field of cinema by working as directors’ assistant and has appeared in more than thirty different movies and TV series with filmmakers such as Iraj Karimi, Farzad Motaman, Mohammad Hossein Latifi, Hojat Qasemzadeh. In his artistic career, Hamzei has directed more than twenty short, half-length and television films including "As Always", "Far or Near", "According to a Habit", etc. – and video works – including "Scratch", "The Sound of Raining", "Mr. Habib", etc. He has won several awards from domestic festivals such as Tehran Short Film Festival. In 2017, Hamzei directed his debut feature film, "Azar."
