If a balloon and a cactus can be friends, perhaps the world isn’t such a prickly place after all?

A cactus can’t handle the cold, and a balloon can’t handle cactus spines – yet, two neighbouring families find themselves in precisely this seemingly impossible situation. Four-year-old Betty Balloon lives with her inventor mum, her stay-at-home dad, and her older brother Bobby. At first glance, they are a totally normal family, except for one thing: they are all balloons! When a family of cacti moves in next door, relations between the two families are nowhere near easy. Fortunately, Betty and Kaj, a young cactus boy, quickly become friends, which leads to an adventure testing both the children’s imagination and challenging the adults’ prejudices.

Suitable for ages 2 and above.
