Amazomania
Footage of a 1996 expedition into the Amazon to document the isolated Korubo people resurfaces decades later, forcing the re-examination of the contact and the implications that followed.
In 1996, a Brazilian civil servant, Sydney Possuelo ,and a Swedish journalist, Erling Söderström, venture deep into the Amazon to meet the Korubo tribe, who live far from civilisation. The expedition ends with a first encounter, and the footage has been hailed as a sensation: rare images from a world that no one has ever seen before. Decades later, the material resurfaces and raises new questions. The film-maker, Nathan Grossman, rewinds the tape to investigate the other side of the story. And what he finds is no small matter.
he film will be introduced by travel organizer and world traveler Ivo Tšetõrkin.
