A Summer Tale
After a heart attack, Buenos Aires hustler Jorge races to prove he’s a “good guy”... whatever that means.
Jorge hustles his way through Buenos Aires’ ruthless financial district, making cash and enemies by the minute. Crude, chaotic, and a magnet for disaster, he’s burned just about every bridge, including the one to his estranged daughter. But after a near-fatal heart attack, Jorge is hit with an unfamiliar urge: to become a better man. Or at least look like one. Fueled by guilt, nicotine, junk food, and questionable life choices, he sets out to win back his daughter’s trust and prove he’s changed – without actually changing too much. Because old habits die hard… and Jorge’s aren't even close to dying.
Fabián Arenillas is pure dynamite as Jorge – a walking contradiction with the charm of Robert De Niro, the chaos of Al Pacino, and the determination of young Nicolas Cage. You’ll love him, hate him, then love him again (against your better judgment). Director-writer Matías Szulanski proves he’s a sharp, fearless voice, diving deep into what makes us human – flaws, regrets, and all. Buenos Aires pulses with life, feeling close enough to touch. Get ready for a wild, heartfelt ride with a man you’d probably cross the street to avoid… but can’t stop watching.
