“A Kaddish for Bernie Madoff” tells the true story of Bernie Madoff and the system that allowed him to function for decades until a thunderous financial collapse halted it. But this is not an ordinary documentary about finance. There is never a dull moment in this crazy combination of musical memoir and narrative fantasy.

Musician/poet Alicia Jo Rabins follows her growing obsession for a man that crashed the global economy and looked just like her Jewish dad. In her art studio, on the 9th floor of an abandoned Wall Street office building, she gathers facts, quotes, real-life interviews and turns them into music videos, animations and choreographic visual fantasies to create a greatly ironic Kaddish, the Jewish prayer of mourning for a loved one’s death.
