We have opened the film submission for the 28th edition of Black Nights Film Festival and both of our sub-festivals - youth and children's festival Just Film and animation and short film festival PÖFF Shorts! The regular deadline for competitive and non-competitive feature film programs is the 30th of June 2024. Early deadline for PÖFF Shorts sub-festival is 1st of July 2024.
The final deadline for submissions of Black Nights Film Festival and both of the sub-festivals is the 25th of August.
We had 7987 submissions in 2023 - let's see if we can top this all-time record!

The calls for submissions for the different project categories of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event will be gradually announced in spring 2024. The preliminary dates are:
European Genre Forum, a pan-European training programme aimed at European first or second feature film director/producer teams developing a genre film project, takes place for the 10th time in 2024. Call for submissions will be opened on 26 February, and the deadline for submission is 1 April.
Baltic Event Co-Production Market is the meeting place for feature films in development looking for co-producers, financiers and sales agents. Around 15 projects are selected, and over 300 pre-arranged meetings are held with decision-makers. The call for projects will open on 1 May, and the last day to submit a project is 15 July 2024.
Script Pool highlights five international projects and the team behind them - director, scriptwriter, and producer. The call for projects will be announced around mid-May.
