For the third year running, Ruum:um is partnering with the Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), assisting with the recording of PÖFF TV broadcasts. Ruum:um’s studio provides a comfortable and high-quality environment for recording podcasts, video content, interviews, course content, and music. While PÖFF brings together the brightest talents from the international film industry, Ruum:um offers the technical support to deliver exclusive interviews to viewers in the best quality.
Ruum:um and PÖFF share a dedication to creativity, quality and innovation. Ruum:um strives to show that the creative process can be accessible and straightforward, and we've offered them a chance to introduce this concept and vision to a broader audience. “Thanks to PÖFF, we’ve been able to demonstrate how our services support filmmakers, contributing to the spread of creativity and the integration of new technological innovations in the world of film,” says Ruum:um’s founder, Toomas Kants.
Since Ruum:um Studio is fully equipped to produce a film if so desired, we asked them what kind of film they would make in their own studio. “A sci-fi one! It would take place somewhere in a distant galaxy, yet be relatable and understandable to the viewer. It would create a metaphore of the journey of a newbie creator who started small but could get somewhere very far. But where? They don’t know yet, because there are no limits,” says Kants.
The Ruum:um team fondly recalls the year 2022, when they decided to invite guests to share their festival impressions at the last moment before heading to the closing ceremony. These spontaneous, fascinating short interviews provided a genuine insight!

Why is Ruum:um supporting the cultural sector today?
According to Kants, supporting Estonia’s cultural and film sector is essential to Ruum:um as they see it as an opportunity for sharing knowledge and experience. “Films enable unique stories to be told and different perspectives to be shared. PÖFF plays a significant role here, bringing international films and cultures to Estonia and fostering discussion and debate. We support this because we believe that cultured discussion and exchange of diverse experiences are vital to advancing creativity and learning,” says Kants.
