Carlos Marques-Marcet (1983) studied Film Directing at UCLA. He began his career as an editor before making his directing debut with “10.000 Km”. Following its premiere at SXSW, where it won the Special Jury Award, the film received a nomination at the EFA Discovery Awards and won the Goya Award for Best New Director. He followed this up with “Anchor and Hope” (SXSW, Rotterdam, BFI London) and “The Days to Come”, which premiered in the Official Competition at Rotterdam. “They Will Be Dust” is his fourth feature-length film.
