Биография
Matías Meyer (1979) was born in France, and was educated at the Sorbonne in Paris and Mexico. He works between Montreal and Mexico City. He has one of the most diverse filmographies in Mexican cinema of the last twenty years, ranging from historical dramas (“The Last Christeros”, 2011) to dramedies (“Modern Loves”, 2019). His films, shown at festivals like TIFF, Rotterdam, Locarno and Morelia explore solitude and the search for meaning with a poetic style that transcends genres and borders.
