Amanda Sans Pantling is a Spanish-British film director, writer and producer. She studied history and journalism, later documentary filmmaking in Barcelona and had further training in scriptwriting. Her directorial debut in cinema was the feature documentary “Songs of Redemption” (2013), selected by over 30 international festivals. Other notable works include the films “Oso”, which premiered at the San Sebastián Film Festival in 2020, “Fragile” (2017, co-directed) and “Last Street” (2019). She is based between Barcelona, Madrid, and Jamaica; and teaches directing at several film schools in Europe and Latin America. Earlier in her career, she worked as a journalist for several media outlets and as a Head of Press and Audiovisual at Doctors Without Borders, covering armed conflicts and natural disasters between 1999 and 2006. She has filmed in over 60 countries.
