Alexander Murphy is a French-Irish emerging filmmaker. Focusing on young people in ethnic communities, he explores universal themes such as migration, the situation of women, and discrimination. His unique perspective provides rare and authentic insights into the lives of vulnerable groups in extreme environments. Capturing humanity with tender and a magnificent sense of photography, his work tends to record endangered cultural heritage of marginalised groups. His works include “Of Soul and Joy”(2023), a French-South African short documentary, and “Ndao Hanavao” (2024), a French-Madagascar short documentary.
